Mt Clemens Public Library's LH&G Department's June Programs

We are sharing the Mount Clemens Public Library's Local History and Genealogy Departments's June programs.

If a program is hybrid the Zoom link is usually on the library's Face Book page or the Library Events Calendar near the time of the event. MCGG has added these programs to our Southeast Michigan Genealogy Events Calendar as well which is probably a little easier to read.

Tonight, Tuesday, May 21, at 6 p.m. in-person at Mount Clemens Public Library and on Zoom, the program is: Schools in Mount Clemens and Surrounding Area - 1947-1960. Public and religious schools in Mount Clemens have a long history. This talk presents an overview of the city's public and religious schools. The presenter attended one of these schools, the same one his mother also did, three short blocks from his home. Later he spent three years in a school operated by a church some miles away. The talk ends with a discussion of his attending Mount Clemens High School.

This Friday is MCGG's May Meeting -- Join Us to Learn Preservation Basics!

MCGG Friday group meets in-person (hybrid) this Friday, May 3, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the Auditorium B/C of the Mount Clemens Public Library. Our topic is ... Preservation Basics for Genealogists & Family Historians presented by Brittany Fields, Local History Librarian.

Join Us .. in-person or via Zoom!

Our plan is that our meetings will be hybrid meaning the meeting will be in-person with a virtual Zoom option. The Zoom meeting link (or registration link) will now be found on our Southeast Michigan Genealogy Events Calendar and our Facebook page. Members will receive a reminder email with the Zoom invite or a reminder that registration is required for a meeting.

New attendees are always welcome.
