Did you know the United States is not the only country having a census release this year? Today, access was opened to the 1921 census for England and Wales.
This census is only available digitally through the Find My Past websites, which requires a small fee for record transcripts or record images. Or, this 1921 census can be accessed for free from the internal computers at the National Archives in Southwest London or one of its partner locations: the Manchester Central Library and National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth.
At present, Find My Past in the only place you can find the 1921 England and Wales Census. We expect (but do not know for sure) that eventually it will be accessible from other genealogy websites similar to the release of 1939 Register.
For those family researchers in the United States who have a late immigrating family, or a grandma or great grandma who was a war bride, happy searching! And happy searching for everyone else too!
See you soon someday at our favorite library.
