Hey MCGG Members, Macomb County Genealogists and Historians!

Get your Twitter thumbs and fingers ready! We need your tweets to help the Mount Clemens Public Library win the 2022 DigMichNews Grant for digitizing the early Mount Clemens Newspapers.

Tweet Voting using #DigMountClemens takes place from February 21 to February 28. Early use and late use of the #DigMountClemens hashtag does not count towards the total votes. Consider following Mount Clemens Public Library @mtclibrary and our group @MCGGmichigan on Twitter.

We need as many people -- young, old and in-between -- to join us in tweet voting a win for our local newspaper. The World War II years are on Chronicling America and it is amazing what you can find by typing in a simple search like a surname or another subject. We know you genealogists and historians would love to be able to do this with the early Mount Clemens newspapers too.

So join us in tweet voting February 21 to 28 and let's win this contest to get this digitization started so we move on to figuring out a way to digitize the rest of our local newspaper years.
