Looks like good Trick-Or-Treat weather for Halloween events tomorrow. MCGG's November trick is two-fold. First, Veterans' Day once again falls on the 2nd Wednesday of the month so we are meeting next week on the first Wednesday of the month. And because of that our Wednesday night Let's Talk...Genealogy meeting will occur before our MCGG Friday meeting. Got that?
A reminder about our Macomb County Genealogy Group November 2026 meetings.
MCGG Let's Talk...Genealogy discussion group meets in-person (hybrid) Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Local History & Genealogy Room of the Mount Clemens Public Library. Our topic is ... Our Military Ancestors.
Let's talk about our military ancestors, like who they were and what it took to find their military service. And if you are still researching this, ask your questions of those that have successfully done this research in the past.
MCGG Friday group meets in-person (hybrid) on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 1 p.m.
in the Board Room of the Mount Clemens Public Library. Our topic is ... Bronze Remembrances of Family presented by MCGG Member Beverly Bishop.
Presented by MCGG Member Beverly Bishop will cover the works of Janice Trimpe in Michigan and Japan. Trimpe converted memories to sculptures now seen in Flint, Mackinac, Mt. Clemens, Roseville, Fraser, Southfield, Dearborn, Belle Isle, as well as many other places. Bishop will cover the why, where, when, and how the sculptures were done to remember our ancestors.
