Ladies and Gentleman -- Anyone who is reading this blog,
As you know our favorite library, the Mount Clemens Public Library, has just one elevator which died in March necessitating its repair which is costly. Rather than ask for a tax millage increase, the library has been asking for donations to help raise its 48-year-old elevator.
In case you did not see today's Macomb Daily newspaper article on page 2, an area businessman (who wishes to remain anonymous) will match donations raised this week only dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. The Matching Donation clock started this morning Monday, August 15, at 9 a.m., and stops at 5 p.m., Friday, August 19.
Donations can be dropped off at the library, 150 Cass Ave., Mount Clemens, this week between Monday and Friday. Make checks payable to the Mount Clemens Public Library.
With this type of support even lots of little amounts donated become greater together helping the library reach its goal -- an elevator that works.
See you soon at Mt. Clemens Public Library!
