A reminder about our Macomb County Genealogy Group October 2025 meetings.

MCGG Friday group meets in-person (hybrid) on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 1 p.m.
in Auditorium A of the Mount Clemens Public Library. Our topic is ... 250 Years: Are You My Patriot? presented by Lisa Eschenburg.

Did you realize that the United States is celebrating its 250th Anniversary? In case you are inspired to search for a Patriot ancestor in your pedigree, Eschenburg will cover the basics to get you started or restarted on your search. We will cover what some lineage groups are looking for; some basics to know about The Revolutionary War and who fought or supported the war; and the variables that effect where you need to search for your Patriot ancestor.

Bring your questions and tell us what you like (or dislike) about whichever genealogy software you use, have used or are considering using. Let's share and learn together.

Our plan is that our meetings will be hybrid meaning the meeting will be in-person with a virtual Zoom option. The Zoom meeting link (or registration link) will now be found on our Southeast Michigan Genealogy Events Calendar and our Facebook page. The link will usually be added the night before or morning of the meeting. Members will receive a reminder email with the Zoom invite or a reminder that registration is required for a meeting.

New attendees are always welcome.
