First remember to buy some trick-or-treat candy if you are passing out candy tonight, then pick an ancestor and research him/her, it is Halloween, Begger's Night, All Hallows Eve Day. Think grab bag or pin-the-tail on the donkey -- picking without seeing way of choosing who to research today.
or
Record your memories of scouting whether you are male or female, it is Girl Scout Founder's Day.
or
For those ancestors that lived in cities research them in city directories -- many are digitized and online, it is World Cities Day.
We plan to have suggestions for each day of this month. Most will be smaller ideas to focus on for a day, some might be a little larger. We will try to have at least a couple suggestions so if one does not fit with your family history, hopefully the other will work.
October is Family History Month!
See you someday soon at our favorite library!
