If the surnames in your tree are not consistent then today is the day to decide: Surname (initial cap) or SURNAME (all caps), it is CAPS LOCK Day. There almost always a setting in your genealogy program to make this any easy task. Online trees may be a manual task to change the format of surnames. Be consistent!

After you are done outside, consider taking another day to sort and organize your digital files, it is Clean Up the Earth Day.

Examine your family tree for knots. Does every connection make sense? Are all parents born before their children for example? Take some time to "see" your tree, it is Eat a Pretzel Day.
We plan to have suggestions for each day of this month. Most will be smaller ideas to focus on for a day, some might be a little larger. We will try to have at least a couple suggestions so if one does not fit with your family history, hopefully the other will work.
