Research and check out the library websites for the locations your ancestors lived, it is American Libraries
Day. If you have done this before, do it again to see what was added after you last a "visited."

Research your German ancestors, it is National German-American Day.
or
Research the hat makers in your family tree, it is Mad Hatter Day. Don't have any hat makers, research the occupation of any other ancestors who were in a trade.
We plan to have suggestions for each day of this month. Most will be smaller ideas to focus on for a day, some might be a little larger. We will try to have at least a couple suggestions so if one does not fit with your family history, hopefully the other will work.
October is Family History Month!
