On September 28, 2024, the Eaton County Genealogical Society is hosting its FREE ECGS Annual Symposium. Registration is required for in-person or Zoom attendance.
The Symposium takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the keynote speaker is Katherine Wilson who is speaking on 40+ Sources for Finding Maiden Names and 75+ Free Resources for Filling Out Your Family Tree.
Additional speakers are Jessica Butler on Britain to Canada to Michigan and Lori Fox on Newspapers Have a Lot to Tell.
The Symposium will take place at Old Courthouse, 100 W. Lawrence, Charlotte, Michigan. In-person attendees can have lunch (subs: choice of ham, turkey or veggie) provided. There will be door prizes, as well as a book sale and silent auction of baked goods.
