Hebner Family Memorial Genealogy Seminar is Saturday, Oct 5, 9 am to 4 pm

The Saint Clair County Genealogy & History Society, St. Clair County Library -- Michigan Room and the Ottawa Chapter NSDAR are hosting the Hebner Family Memorial  Genealogy Seminar on Saturday, October 5. The all-day seminar starts at 9 a.m.

It takes place at the Donald. E Dodge Auditorium (south & across the street from the back of the Main Library) in Port Huron. Seminar registration is located at the Saint Clair County Library's Events Calendar. Use this link to the page.

The day's events are:

  • 9:30-10:45 - "Bring Out Your Dead, Plagues, Epidemics, and Pandemics" Derek J. Blount, Professional Genealogist
  • 11:00-11:15 - Presentation: Daughters of the American Revolution
  • 11:15-12:30 - "Why Should I Look at Revolutionary War Records?" Melissa Tennant Rzepczynski, Genealogical Consultant, Researcher & Speaker Branch Discoveries, LLC
  • 12:30-1:45 - Lunch: A Box Lunch can be purchased at registration ($12 Ham or Turkey sandwich, chips & a fruit). If you are interested in one, please email ahead at rmathieu@sccl.lib.mi.us
  • 1:45-2:00 - Presentation: St. Clair County Library - Michigan Room
  • 2:00-3:30 - "Wills, Thrills, and Chills: Research with Probate Records" Kris Rzepczynski, Senior Archivist and Head of Reference at the Archives of Michigan
